I already have HDHP with Highmark, and then when I clicked "open HSA" out of curiosity, it was instant. No questions were asked. I guess it was auto-opened. How can I close this and can I leave this open? I'm scared I'd pay double for insurance.

I believe you should be able to close it by calling Highmark as soon as you can. Leaving it open won't double your insurance cost, but watch out for any fees even if you don't put money in. give Highmark a call to sort it out

You won't be paying double, the HSA is a separate savings account, not another insurance plan.
It's actually very common and beneficial to have them together as they are designed to work hand-in-hand.
An HDHP typically has lower monthly premiums, and the HSA allows you to save pre-tax money to pay for your higher deductible and other qualified medical expenses.
Anyway, as I understand it HSA should close on its own if you don't contribute any funds, per Highmark's policy.
But yeah, you can also just contact Highmark if you want to close it sooner!

You won't be double charged for insurance, an HSA isn't insurance, it's just a savings account tied to your HDHP. You can leave it open with no issue, or close it if you don't want to use it. Just watch out for any account maintenance fees some HSAs charge.
